Had the chance to go on a quick trip to Sonoma with my boss earlier this year for a single day conference. We went in a day early so we got to spend the day wine tasting and exploring, so I wanted to share the highlights.
We didn’t really go in with any plans except finding food and finding wine. So after a quick google search, we started with lunch at Jacob’s Restaurant. I had a killer gyro with fries, she had the chicken sandwich and they were both SO good.
Next stop was Sangiacomo where we were greeted with a lovely tour, and enjoyed some fantastic Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Of course, we had wine shipped home. By recommendation, our next stop was Winery Sixteen 600 in downtown Sonoma. It was the cutest little cottage, and each room had it’s own record player. The vibes were immaculate while we hung out and tried an array of varietals, all lovely! Not only did we both take wine home, ya girl joined the wine club. Still looking forward to going back with the hubs! Also, cute dog there so 11/10. After the great day of tasting, it was deffff time to eat. Our server gave us the recommendation to go to The Girl & The Fig, so we walked there and did some shopping on our way. I had the Fig Manhattan and girl let me tell you it was so delicious! Also, this may have been our buzzed state, but we had the fluffiest most delicious quiche that either of us has ever had (along with a great salad and crispy brussels). Honestly can’t wait until my next trip to Sonoma!
